Inclusion Criteria: * COPD exacerbation * Able to give informed consent * Able to perform spirometry Exclusion Criteria: * Known malignancy * Known hypercoagulable state * Receiving anticoagulant treatment * Pregnancy * Renal failure * Allergy to Iodine
