Inclusion Criteria: * operable thyroid neoplasm Exclusion Criteria: * a history of previous neck surgeries or uncontrolled medical diseases such as hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and hypertension * administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or anti-platelet agents within 1 week before surgery
