The risk of delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is associated with large cerebral artery vasospasm, but vasospasm is not a strong predictor for DCI. Assessment of cerebral autoregulation with transcranial Doppler (TCD) may improve the prediction of DCI.
