Most healthcare staff do not report harassment by patients. This is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of prospective electronic and clinic diary data. It is an evaluation of incidents of pain clinic staff harassment; caused by patients and patients' family. This is an analysis of incident causative factors, incident outcome and lessons learned. The qualitative information of each incident is presented in a sensitive and careful format.
