The goal of the study is to know the role of upper airway ultrasound in predicting weaning outcomes in mechanically ventilated patients , and the question is ,Is it the best to use or the conventional criteria of weaning

Eligibility

Sex: ALLMin age: 18 Years

Inclusion Criteria: * Patient's age more than eighteen years. * Patients passed spontaneous breathing trials. * hemodynamically stable patients Exclusion Criteria: * Patients that are younger than 18 years old. * Patients that hemodynamically unstable * Patients didn't pass spontaneous breathing trials. * diaphragm dysfunction * lung congestion

Primary Outcomes

measuring the Air column width difference of the upper airway by using upper airway ultrasound for prediction of weaning outcomes in mechanically ventilated patients.

Time frame: through study completion, an average of 1 year.
