Acute resistance-training performance: total number of repetitions
Total number of repetitions completed across four sets of bench press and back squat during the first intervention session. Participants will perform each set to momentary muscular failure at maximal intended concentric velocity, using individualized absolute loads corresponding to 75% of the estimated one-repetition maximum (1RM) for the bench press and 80% of the estimated 1RM for the back squat. Repetitions completed in each set and total repetitions per exercise will be recorded to compare the immediate effects of agonist stretching, antagonist stretching, and no stretching.
Time frame: First intervention session (Week 1), across the four training sets.
