This randomized controlled trial aimed to evaluate the effects of laughter yoga on emotional labor behavior and menopause-specific quality of life among menopausal nurses. A total of 120 premenopausal and postmenopausal nurses were randomly assigned to an intervention group (n=60) or a control group (n=60). The intervention group participated in eight laughter yoga sessions over four weeks, while the control group received no intervention. Emotional labor behavior and menopause-specific quality of life were assessed at baseline, post-intervention, and follow-up using validated instruments. The primary objective was to determine whether laughter yoga improves emotional labor behavior and menopause-specific quality of life compared with usual practice.

Emotional Labor Behavior
Emotional labor behavior assessed using the Nurses' Emotional Labor Behavior Scale. The Emotional Labor Behavior Scale for Nurses consists of 24 items with total scores ranging from 24 to 120. Higher scores indicate higher levels of emotional labor behavior.
Time frame: Baseline, Week 4 (post-intervention), and Week 8 (follow-up)
Menopause-Specific Quality of Life
Menopause-specific quality of life assessed using the Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Scale (MENQOL).
