This study evaluates whether adding breathing exercises to standard physical therapy helps improve lung function and overall well-being in people with cervical discopathy (neck problems). Participants diagnosed with cervical discopathy will be divided into two groups. One group will receive 15 sessions of standard physical therapy, which includes Ultrasound, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), infrared therapy, and neck exercises. The second group will receive the exact same standard physical therapy, but with an added specific breathing exercise program for 15 sessions. Researchers will measure the patients' breathing capacity, neck pain levels, and psychological well-being before the treatments start and right after the 15-session program ends to see if the added breathing exercises provide extra benefits.

A targeted respiratory exercise program added to the conventional physiotherapy, aimed at improving the function, strength, and endurance of the respiratory muscles over 15 sessions.

Change in Pulmonary Function Tests (FVC and FEV1)
Pulmonary function was evaluated using spirometry. The key parameters measured were Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1), reported in liters (L) and as a percentage of the predicted value (%). Higher values indicate better pulmonary function (a better clinical outcome).

Change in Neck Pain Severity
Pain severity is evaluated using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) during resting, active movement, and at night. The scale ranges from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 10. Higher scores indicate greater pain severity, representing a worse outcome.

Change in Neck-Specific Disability and Psychosocial Well-Being
Evaluated using the Bournemouth Neck Questionnaire, which assesses parameters like pain severity, inability in daily and social activities, anxiety, and depression. The total score ranges from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 70. Higher scores indicate greater neck-specific disability and worse psychosocial well-being, representing a worse clinical outcome.
