Comparison of Simplified Acute Physiology Score (SAPS II) , Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation) APACHE II Scoring Systems for Predicting Mortality of Critically Ill Patients Admitted in a Tertiary Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Overview

This is a descriptive analytical prospective study to compare the performance of SOFA score, SAPSII score and APACHE II score in ICU mortality prediction.

All the eligible patients admitted to the ICU are enrolled in the study. For each enrolled patient SAPS II, SOFA and APACHE II score will be calculated and these patient will be followed till they are in ICU stay. A comparison of predictive performance of each score will be done for mortality in the ICU.
